Viewing our Yurts
We are flexible about viewing times and can often be available at short notice, but please contact us first to make an appointment. We keep a 16ft demonstration yurt up for much of the year, but the larger 19ft and 21ft yurts are used as holiday lets so in busy periods they are only available to view on changeover days (Monday and Friday mornings).
Our holiday let yurts are up from mid March until mid October. These are all furnished so that you can get and idea of what fits in (more than most people expect!)
The yurts are sited in various locations and on a variety of deck designs - some good, some not so good - around the farm.
If you have never stayed in a yurt before then you may find it worthwhile to book a holiday - apart from ours there are plenty of yurt campsites around (we have links to all the yurt campsites we have sold to).
If you are thinking of running a yurt campsite, we run residential and day courses with the fee fully refundable against future purchase. We can show you the yurts, our facilities building with solar powered water heating, reed bed drainage, flushing and composting loos, and all the other required infrastructure.
It can be quite difficult to work out from dimensions which size you need - the yurts increase in size proportionally - not just in diameter - so each time you go up a size the door and walls are higher and the crown supports taller. That is why we prefer customers to come and view the various sizes. Your height can have a bearing on which yurt you choose - I love the 16' yurt (but I am only 5' 4" tall) - at 6' 3", Peter much prefers the next size up.
It is really important that you buy the right size not only for the purpose you have in mind, but also to fit the site - cramming a yurt into too small a space is not only bad for the yurt, which needs a free flow of air around it - it makes erecting it and adjusting the ropes very difficult. There are other issues to consider too - the bigger the yurt, the more the storage, the longer it takes to put up, the more it costs etc.
If you would like to arrange a viewing please contact us.
